Recap
West Covina, CA — Azusa won the last time they faced Edgewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Aztecs walked away with a 7-3 win over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.
Matt Huizar and Justin Casas did most of the damage at the plate: Huizar got on base in two of his four plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs, while Casas went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those six stolen bases gave Huizar a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
Azusa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Azusa now has a winning record of 2-1.
Coming up, Azusa will head out to face off against Ontario at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
