Recap
Azusa, CA — Azusa won the last time they faced Nogales and things went their way on Friday too. The Aztecs walked away with a 4-1 win over the Nobles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.
Aidan Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
At the plate, Danny Quezada was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Matt Huizar also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Azusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Azusa's record now sits at 4-2.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Azusa will face off against rival Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
