Norton Shores, MI — What a gorgeous spring day on the tennis courts and what a fantastic way to start out the 2026 season. A solid team win over a strong North Muskegon Team, who returned a lot of players from last year! Lauren Singles, Kendra Hylland, Adrienne Mills, and Luci Cooper won 1, 2, 3, and 4 singles in straight sets - all with a very positive physical, mental, and emotional performance! Great job girls. Laynie Russell and Maddison Dundon, never playing together before - beat a tough North Muskegon 1 doubles team in straight sets. Leah Mills and Sophie Sischo moved up a spot to 2 Doubles and while the had a little hiccup in the 2nd set - they saved 4 match points to win 13-11. Way to stay focused girls. Lexi Brady and Carly Fishel had never played together before and played a very impressive 3 doubles team of North Muskegon and fell in straight sets. Maria Powell and Kami Cree also needed extra time to finish off their 4 doubles match - winning 10-4 in the final set! Maggie Fishel turned in a solid singles performance in exhibition singles as did Amara Bradfield and Linzy Rodriguez. Ella Trowbridge and Jaida Kitchen lost a nail biter in a 10 pt breaker in exhibition and Audrina Kusz and Victoria Fiebig faced a tough North Muskegon 5 doubles team. Thanks to all the players who came out and supported their teammates! It was a great night on court all around!
