Tinley Park, IL — The Zee-Bees could not keep pace with Tinley Park Varsity Titans falling 8-5 at Tinley Park High School. The Zee-Bees tied the game up in the top of the second thanks to two singles. Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees tied the game at two on a single by Sam Villarreal. Villarreal singled down the left field line, which helped Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees tie the game at three in the top of the fourth. Tinley Park Varsity Titans took the lead again I. the bottom of the fourth 4-3 and never looked back. Andrew Mitchell took the loss for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees. The righty went four innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out three and walking two. The Zee-Bees amassed nine hits in the game. Jake Mitchell led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Sam Villarreal went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.
