Tanner, AL — By GameChanger Media Tanner Varsity Rattlers rallied to best Woodville 10-9 on Monday. Tanner Varsity Rattlers trailed by as many as seven runs during the game. Woodville got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, and E Talley drew a walk, scoring one run. Woodville added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after W Patterson was struck by a pitch, Woodville scored on a passed ball, and C Lancaster grounded out, each scoring one run. Tanner Varsity Rattlers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring nine runs on two hits to take the lead, 10-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Ashley Lagrone that drove in two. Trae Malone earned the win for Tanner Varsity Rattlers. The pitcher gave up three hits and four runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three. B Kecl took the loss for Woodville. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, giving up seven runs on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Lagrone led things off on the bump for Tanner Varsity Rattlers. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and five runs over two innings, striking out six and walking six. B Talley stepped on the bump first for Woodville. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking three. Lagrone provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Tanner Varsity Rattlers with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Ny'Quaveaus Green went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Tanner Varsity Rattlers in hits. Garrison Griffin led Tanner Varsity Rattlers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Green, Jaden Williams, and Griffin each stole multiple bases for Tanner Varsity Rattlers. Tanner Varsity Rattlers stole eight bases in the game. F Brown set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Woodville with two hits in three at bats. R White and Kecl were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Woodville. Woodville had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game.
