Recap
San Marino, CA — While South Pasadena's win against San Marino wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Titans 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Lucia Atencio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, South Pasadena's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gemma Converse, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Ava Dawson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
The win got South Pasadena back to even at 3-3. As for San Marino, the loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 3-2.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Pasadena will square off against rival La Canada at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, San Marino is set to face off against their familiar foe Blair at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
