Pasadena, CA — After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, South Pasadena brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Blair Vikings get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Racquel Dominguez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dominguez was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Karina Millar looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Ava Dawson was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Zeisler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
South Pasadena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
South Pasadena's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Blair, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Pasadena is set to challenge their familiar foe La Canada at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Blair will take on rival San Marino at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
