South Pasadena, CA — South Pasadena had lost four straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 7-11 to make it five. They came up short against the San Marino Titans, falling 14-6. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 8-7. Cassidy Lee and Taelyn Adams stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lee got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Adams went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. As for San Marino, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. On San Marino's side, Madeline Bilvado was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, Bilvado posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. In other batting news, San Marino got a massive performance out of Kayla Wu, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Wu has posted since back in April of 2025. Angel Barrera was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. South Pasadena has already played their next matchup, a 16-6 defeat against Monrovia on the 1st.
