Chico, CA — Enterprise Varsity Hornets couldn't keep up with Chico and fell 10-0 on Friday at Chico High School.
Chico got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Peterson doubled to left field, Alderson grounded out, Nadeau singled down the left field line, and Murphy singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Hopper led things off in the circle for Enterprise Varsity Hornets. The hurler surrendered eight hits and seven runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out none and walking four. Murphy stepped in the circle first for Chico. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking none.
Ross and Romero were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Enterprise Varsity Hornets while hitting back-to-back. Enterprise Varsity Hornets turned one double play in the game.
