Goddard, KS — Goddard Varsity Lions trailed by as many as four, but came back to defeat South on Thursday, 9-5.
South got on the board in the top of the first inning after Stauffer singled to center field, Breeden singled down the right field line, Telles lined out, and Pickerill singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
South added one run in the second after Anthony doubled down the left field line.
Goddard Varsity Lions captured the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the third after McFadden singled to center field, and Jensen grounded out, each scoring one run.
Goddard Varsity Lions added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on four hits. Jensen tripled, scoring one run, and Dunlavy homered to right field, scoring two runs.
