Sahuarita, AZ — Salpointe Catholic Varsity Lady Lancers put on a show Tuesday, rolling to a 14-2 victory over Walden Grove Varsity Red Wolves — and it was powered by a historic performance from Isabel Otero. Otero did it all, hitting for the cycle. It was a night to remember ,launching a home run to center, ripping a double, legging out a triple, and adding a single to complete the feat. Pure dominance at the plate. In the circle, Macee Jackson was just as electric, racking up 11 strikeouts across a complete-game effort. She allowed just five hits, two runs, and didn’t issue a single walk — total control from start to finish. Walden Grove struck first after a dropped third strike brought in a run, but that momentum didn’t last long. The Lancers answered immediately — and loudly. A seven-run explosion in the second inning flipped the game on its head. The highlight? A clutch double from Soli Ramos that cleared the bases and ignited the offense. And they weren’t done. Salpointe piled it on in the seventh with five more runs, highlighted by: -Ashlyn Swanson driving in one -Otero adding two more RBIs with a double, -Iza Palomarez knocking in two with another big hit By the end of the night, the Lancers had racked up 15 hits, with Ramos, Swanson, and Palomarez all delivering multi-hit performances. Walden Grove saw contributions from Kailey Begay, Jayden Gonzales, Isabel Higuera, Jenna Catania, and Ava McDuffy, with McDuffy leading the way with an RBI — but it wasn’t enough to slow the Lancers’ momentum. Next up: Salpointe gets another shot at Walden Grove on Thursday — and if Tuesday was any indication, they’re coming in hot. 🔥
