Oro Valley, AZ — Under control from the first pitch to the final out, Macee Jackson delivered a commanding performance in the circle, striking out 13 and leading the Salpointe Catholic Varsity Lady Lancers to a 7–2 win over the Canyon del Oro Varsity Lady Dorados on Monday. Jackson went the distance, allowing just two runs on nine hits across seven innings while issuing zero walks, showcasing both power and precision in a dominant outing. After a quiet start, the Lancers broke through in the third inning when CC Moraga came through with a clutch single that brought home two runs and ignited the offense. From there, Salpointe steadily built control of the game. Run production came from all over the lineup. Isa Palomarez, Moraga, and Addi Wild each drove in two runs, while Wild added a strong performance at the plate with two hits. The Lancers also showed discipline, drawing seven walks as a team, with Ashlyn Swanson leading the way with three. Canyon del Oro’s Savanna Mares took the loss, allowing four runs over four innings. Offensively, Avery Golder and Emma Shaffer each collected two hits, while Haley Deeb drove in a run. With the win, the Lady Lancers continue to build momentum as they prepare to take on Nogales this Friday—riding high behind a dominant showing in the circle and a disciplined approach at the plate.
