JSerra Catholic Freshman Lions had trouble keeping up with St. John Bosco in a 9-0 loss on Thursday.
A ground out by John Novoa put St. John Bosco on the board in the bottom of the first.
St. John Bosco added one run in the second. Jimmy Reveles grounded into a fielder's choice, making the score 2-0.
Alex Winny started on the bump for JSerra Catholic Freshman Lions. The righty gave up four hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Nicolas Jimenez started on the bump for St. John Bosco. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking two.
Fick went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead JSerra Catholic Freshman Lions in hits.
St. John Bosco amassed nine hits in the game. Reveles, the number seven hitter for St. John Bosco, led the way with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Reveles, James Key, and Cesar Pardo each collected two hits for St. John Bosco. St. John Bosco ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game. St. John Bosco were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jake Saenz made the most plays with five.
