Yucaipa, CA — Yucaipa new they would be in a battle today against Cajon. The match started out with Yucaipa falling behind 2-4 (Leroy had convincing singles win and Seth/Luke came back to win a tough doubles match. Yucaipa split 3-3 in the second round and were behind 5-7 going into the 3rd round. In singles Josh had a convincing win while Leroy battled to a 4-6 loss as well as Robert/AJ 3-6. Needing to win the last 3 matches Seth/Luke overpowered the #2 doubles team. Galarza/Truston went a tie breaker and held off 5 match points to ultimately win 16-14 in the tie breaker. Just like earlier in the season the match came down to Dennis who survived a couple match points and got it to a tiebreaker. He played smart tennis and waited for his opponent to make the mistakes and won 7-4 in the tie breaker. After adding up all the games Yucaipa won 9-9 72-70 games! Great job and it keeps the boys in the playoff hunt.
