Monrovia got on the board in the top of the second inning after L Castunon walked, and D Acosta laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run. South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by E.J. Pearson that drove in two. South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Sawyer Courtice hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, James Mortier-Lamb singled, scoring one run, Mateo Castillo hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Alejandro Garcia tripled, scoring two runs, and Lucas McCollum doubled, scoring one run. Josh Bracamonte pitched three innings in relief for South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers. The reliever gave up three hits and one run while, striking out three and walking one. Thomas Kemper stepped on the hill first for South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking four. Noah U opened the game for Monrovia. The starter surrendered eight hits and six runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers tallied 14 hits in the game. McCollum, Garcia, Pearson, and Lucas Cologne each collected two hits for South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers. Garcia went 2-for-5 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Alex K led Monrovia with three hits in three at bats. U, C Barrera, and Acosta each drove in one run for Monrovia.
