The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers battled throughout the game on Tuesday, ultimately falling 13-4 to a strong San Marino Varsity Titans team. Despite the final score, the Tigers showed determination at the plate and continued to compete from start to finish.
South Pasadena got on the board early in the first inning when Leyva delivered an RBI single, setting a positive tone offensively. However, the Tigers faced some early challenges in the field, committing a few errors in the opening innings that allowed San Marino to build momentum and extend their lead.
On the mound, Wakumoto took the start and worked through a tough lineup, while the Tigers remained focused and continued to fight each inning. Offensively, South Pasadena put together an impressive performance, collecting 11 hits on the day. Mendoza, Malatesta, Leyva, and Ortiz each recorded two hits, with Leyva leading the team with two RBIs.

The team will look to tighten things up defensively and build on their strong hitting as they prepare to face San Marino again at home on Thursday. With their offensive rhythm and continued effort, the Tigers are well-positioned to bounce back.
