Whitehall, PA — Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs Defeat Parkland

Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs took down Parkland 10-5 on Friday.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Chase Miller singled, scoring two runs, Callen Nicklas singled, scoring one run, and Jack Lloyd doubled, scoring two runs.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Nik Christman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Tyler Sanders drew a walk, scoring one run, and Donato Brigidi doubled, scoring three runs.
Parkland scored three runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to center field by Weninger.
Logan Shean earned the win for Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs. The starter surrendered five hits and five runs (four earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Lawson took the loss for Parkland. The hurler went two and two-thirds innings, allowing 10 runs on six hits, striking out one and walking six. Lloyd tossed two and one-third innings of shutout ball for Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs in relief. The righty surrendered one hit, striking out six and walking two.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs's Nicklas, the number seven hitter, led Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs with two hits in three at bats. Brigidi led Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Sanders and Christman led the team with three bases on balls each.
Streeter and Weninger were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Parkland while hitting back-to-back. Weninger drove the middle of the lineup, leading Parkland with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Dickson led Parkland with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Parkland didn't commit a single error in the field. Damweber had the most chances in the field with nine.
