Louisburg, KS — The Lady Chieftains fell 5-0 against the Louisburg Wildcats for their first loss of the season. The Wildcats pulled ahead early with a second minute goal. The Chieftains found themselves on the other half a few times but had trouble finishing the play. Another goal for the Wildcats came in the 17th minute. Two more would be scored before the half in the 26th and 32nd minute to make the score 4-0. The Chieftains had three corner kicks. Natalie Loving had two shots in the first half. Molly Vought, Paityn VanMiddlesworth, Marissa Dick, and Lilli Sanders each had one shot. Lauren Breuer had four saves from Louisburg’s 8 shots. The second half left the Chieftains scoreless once again. The Wildcats finished off their scoring run with a goal in the 75th minute. The Chieftains look to bounce back on Thursday at home against Ottawa at 6 p.m. The JV Lady Chieftains soccer team fell 3-0 in a defensive battle against the Louisburg Wildcats. The first goal came in the 23rd minute. Five minutes later, the Chieftains gave up a penalty kick with resulted in a goal. The Wildcats scored their third and final goal in the 48th minute. Gabriela Garza had the one and only shot on goal. Isa Rasnic recorded over 25 saves. The Lady Chieftains play again on Thursday, April 16th at 4:30 p.m. at home versus Ottawa.
