Kansas City, KS — The Tonganoxie lady Chieftains won against Turner 3-0. Legan Caraway scored in the 17th minute on a solo run. Lilli Sanders led the half with eight shots and Caraway had five. Chaynee Howell recorded one save. Going into the second half, the score was 1-0. The next goal came from Marissa Dick in the 56th minute. In the 69th minute, Molly Vought got fouled in the penalty area which resulted in a penalty kick for the Chieftains. Sanders took the kick and buried it to put the score at 3-0. Sanders had for more five more shots to lead the half. The Chieftains recorded 31 shots. Lauren Breuer played the second half and did not see a shot on goal. The Chieftains play again on Thursday at Eudora High School at 6:30 p.m. The JV lady Chieftains soccer team won 2-0 against Turner High School. Both goals came from Gabriela Garza in the second half. The first goal was assisted by Allyssa Haga. The second goal was on a solo run. Chaynee Howell and Lauren Breuer split the game. Howell had four saves and Breuer had five. The JV girls look to take this momentum into Thursday against Eudora at 4:30 at Eudora.
