Grand Blanc — Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats Defeated By Saline By GameChanger Media Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats fell to Saline 5-3 on Tuesday. Saline got on the board in the second inning after Elizabeth Onyskin grounded out, scoring one run. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Lexi Huizenga singled, and Alaina Trotter doubled to center field, each scoring one run. In the top of the fourth, Saline broke up the tie when an error scored two runs. Then a single by Reese Rupert followed to extend the lead to 5-2. Kayla Blumenschein and Ella Stevenson went seven innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out 10 and walking two. Hannah Johnson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bobcats in hits. Huizenga, Kate Mitchell, and Trotter each drove in one run. GB had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Ella Stevenson and Blumenschein led the team with two walks each.
