Grand Blanc — Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats Secure Win Against Davison By GameChanger Media Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats were triumphant over Davison 9-4 on Monday. Davison got on the board in the second inning after Beagle singled, scoring one run. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth after Kate Mitchell singled down the left field line, and Kayla Blumenschein tripled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats committed an error, which helped Davison tie the game at two in the top of the fifth. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Mitchell that drove in two. Aleiya DiLorenzo earned the win for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. The hurler allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking five. Simmoms took the loss for Davison. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs on eight hits, striking out one and walking one. Blumenschein stepped in the circle first for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking none. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats tallied 10 hits in the game. Mitchell and Blumenschein were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. Hannah Johnson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats in hits. Beagle led Davison with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. James and Beagle each collected two hits for Davison. Stimson led Davison with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing five walks for the game. Davison were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Titsworth made the most plays with six.
