Saline, MI — Grand Blanc HS JVA 26 took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Saline Junior Varsity Hornets at Saline High School. Grand Blanc HS JVA 26 were down 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Riley Turner singled, scoring two runs. A single by Lainey Sattler put Saline Junior Varsity Hornets on the board in the top of the first. Grand Blanc HS JVA 26 captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Cailyn Cowgill doubled down the left field line, and Lily Seehoffer grounded out, each scoring one run. In the top of the second inning, Saline Junior Varsity Hornets went back into the lead after Sammy Langkos singled down the right field line, Grand Blanc HS JVA 26 committed an error, Olivia Putman singled to center field, and Kate Paulowicz singled to center field, each scoring one run. Cowgill hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the third for the Grand Blanc HS JVA 26. Alison Green earned the win for Grand Blanc HS JVA 26. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. Paulowicz took the loss for Saline Junior Varsity Hornets. The starter went four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out eight and walking none. Bailey Hopewell stepped in the circle first for Grand Blanc HS JVA 26. The hurler gave up nine hits and five runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking none.
