Bethlehem, PA — Caidan Alvin collected three hits in four at bats, as the Easton JV Rovers defeated Freedom 16-1 on Thursday. Alvin, doubled in the second inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning. The JV Rovers won thanks in part to 10 runs in the fifth inning. Alvin, singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Fish singled, scoring two runs, Gares doubled, scoring one run, Pacheco singled, scoring one run, Munjone drew a walk, scoring one run, Scott singled, scoring one run, and Patrick singled, scoring two runs. Easton scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Charles drew a walk, scoring one run, Alvin, doubled, scoring two runs, Greg drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run. Schaffer earned the win for Easton. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers amassed 11 hits in the game. Gares and Bush each collected multiple hits for Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers. Munjone led Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers with two walks. Easton will travel to State College for their next game on Saturday.
