Easton — Easton Area Junior Varsity easily dispatched Louis E. Dieruff on Tuesday, 12-0. A single by Dech put Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers on the board in the bottom of the first. An error, a fielder's choice by Greg, and a single by Gares helped Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers extend their early lead in the second. Easton scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the third inning. Schaffer drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored three runs, and Pacheco drew a walk, scoring one run. Caudill earned the win for the JV Rovers. The pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Charles threw one inning of no-run ball for Easton in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Gares drove the middle of the lineup, leading Easton with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Pacheco, Munjone, Gares, Dech, Patrick, Fish, and Lobb each collected one hit for the JV Rovers. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Easton Area Junior Varsity will travel to Pocono Mountain East for their next game on Monday.
