Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers were triumphant over Phillipsburg 7-2 on Saturday. Easton got on the board in the fifth inning after Alvin, doubled, scoring one run. The JV Rovers scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Schaffer singled, scoring one run, Lobb singled, scoring two runs, Munjone tripled, scoring two runs, and Alvin, singled, scoring one run. Gares earned the win for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The hurler allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. Leadoff hitter Alvin, led Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers with two hits in four at bats. Munjone and Alvin, each drove in two runs for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. Next up for Easton is a game against East Stroudsburg North on Monday.
