Recap
San Mateo, CA — Despite a final score of 5-25 against a formidable Aragon team on Thursday March 19.BHS demonstrated remarkable resilience and character, fighting with high intensity until the final whistle.
While the result was not what we hoped for, the energy and commitment shown by our players in the face of a tough opponent was impressive.
I am incredibly proud of my team handled adversity on that day. Aragon is a very strong team, but our players did not back down. They continued to play hard, stick to our team chemistry, and support each other until the very end. That level of defense, particularly the mixed doubles of Brandon Mark and Saskia Dankbaar who remained focused despite heavy pressure. Offensively,Ting ting wang/ Nicole Huang continued to create opportunities, eventually finding the back of the net in the in second set to reward the team's relentless effort.
We lost a game, but we did not lose in every aspect. Team BHS saw improvement in defense and offensively tactics, and, most importantly, the refusal to give up.
Team BHS will take the lessons learned from this match to improve in practice this week as they prepare to face SSF on March 24.
