Whitehall — Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs Defeats Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings On Back Of Clutch Display From Maison Mourani

Maison Mourani drove in four runs on two hits to lead Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs past Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings 11-6 on Monday. Mourani singled in the fourth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring two.
Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs came back to win despite trailing 4-0 in the fourth.
Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings got on the board in the top of the second inning after N. Stapleton homered to center field, and Jack Smith grounded out, each scoring one run.
Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on seven hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Mourani that drove in two.
Yorvi Almonte stepped on the bump first for Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs. The hurler gave up three hits and four runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking four. Jackson Hollander led things off on the bump for Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings. The righty allowed seven hits and seven runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking three. Brady Tomko threw two innings of scoreless ball for Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out five and walking two.
Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs accumulated 13 hits in the game. Kane Braun led Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs with three hits in four at bats. Gabriel Glass and Alex Younes each collected multiple hits for Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs. Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Kevin Nguyen and Almonte led the team with three free passes each.
Colin Sedora and Stapleton were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings while hitting back-to-back. Smith, Sedora, Stapleton, and Dominick Menecola each drove in one run for Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings. Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. JB Bechtal (Gallagher) and Josh Kahr led the team with two walks each. Sedora stole two bases. Allentown Central Catholic Junior Varsity Vikings turned one double play in the game.
