Whitehall, PA — Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs Surge Past Pocono Mountain East Junior Varsity Cardinals Thanks To Big Second Inning By GameChanger Media Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs defeated Pocono Mountain East Junior Varsity Cardinals 9-2 on Wednesday thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning. Gabe Glass singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Carson Strauss singled, scoring two runs, Griffin Peters doubled, scoring one run, Starlin Abreu doubled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs. Pocono Mountain East Junior Varsity Cardinals were the first to get on the board in the second when Jack Meinweiser singled, scoring one run. Yorvi Almonte earned the win for Whitehall Junior Varsity Zephyrs. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking six.
