Wamego, KS — Landri Adams shut down Silver Lake Varsity Eagles, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders to a 5-0 victory on Tuesday at Wamego Recreation Sports Complex.
Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Mohler induced Hall to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Stanley singled, scoring two runs.
A double by Coon extended the Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Mohler took the loss for Silver Lake Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.
McCarthy led Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders with three hits in three at bats. Stanley and Coon each drove in two runs for Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders. McCarthy stole two bases. Wamego Varsity Lady Raiders were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Stanley had the most chances in the field with 11.
