Monroe, CT — Shelton Freshman Gaels Defeats Masuk On Back Of Clutch Display From Ryan Pearson

Ryan Pearson drove in four runs on two hits to lead Shelton Freshman Gaels past Masuk 13-0 on Monday at Masuk HS. Pearson singled in the third scoring two, singled in the fifth scoring two, and walked in the fourth scoring one.
Shelton Freshman Gaels got on the board in the top of the first inning after Eric Veloz was struck by a pitch, and Brayden Blohm singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Shelton Freshman Gaels added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Pearson singled, scoring two runs, and a steal of home scored one run.
Nate Milosico earned the win for Shelton Freshman Gaels. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking none. Huber took the loss for Masuk. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking seven. Tyrone Motley threw one inning of no-run ball for Shelton Freshman Gaels in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
