Shelton Freshman Gaels were victorious against North haven 8-3 on Monday at Nike.
Shelton Freshman Gaels got on the board in the first inning after Jack Long doubled, scoring one run.
Tyler hit a sacrifice fly, which helped North haven tie the game at one in the top of the second.
A fly out by Omar Soto gave Shelton Freshman Gaels the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second.
Anthony grounded out, which helped North haven tie the game at two in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the third inning, Shelton Freshman Gaels went back into the lead after Brayden Blohm hit a sacrifice fly, and Eric Veloz singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Mason Frascatore earned the win for Shelton Freshman Gaels. The starting pitcher allowed 10 hits and two runs over six innings, striking out one and walking none. Joey took the loss for North haven. The pitcher went four innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking two. Omar Soto collected the save.
