The game was tied at one in the top of the seventh when Jayden Sobczak doubled, scoring two runs. The pitching was strong on both sides. Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels pitchers struck out eight, while Amity sat down nine. Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels were the first to get on the board in the first when Asher Moccaie singled, scoring one run. Hush singled down the left field line, which helped Amity tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth. Zach Burlone earned the win for Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Hush took the loss for Amity. The starter went seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out nine and walking one. Johnathan Wood started on the hill for Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Jayden Sobczak led Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels with two runs batted in. Jayden Sobczak went 1-for-1 on the day. Asher Moccaie went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Shelton Junior Varsity Gaels in hits. Kasowski, Surasi, Simon, Hush, Sakowski, Kapoor, Moran, and Sakowski each collected one hit for Amity. Hush went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
