Mason Frascatore singled down the left field line, which helped Shelton Freshman Gaels tie the game at one in the top of the second. A single by Jayden Pena gave Shelton Freshman Gaels the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fourth. Amity took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. #15 hit into a double play, but one run scored, to give Amity the leg up, 3-2. Shelton Freshman Gaels captured the lead, 5-3, in the top of the sixth after Ryan Pearson singled to center field, Eric Veloz was struck by a pitch, and Brayden Blohm hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Omar Soto earned the win for Shelton Freshman Gaels. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out two and walking two. Jack Long opened the game for Shelton Freshman Gaels. The starter surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Lou Pegnataro stepped on the mound first for Amity. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking two.
