Recap
Chelmsford, MA — Today we faced a tough Burlington team that brought a lot of strong defensive pressure, but our girls never stopped working hard. Despite the heat and a physically strong opponent, the team continued to hustle, support one another, and battle for every ball from start to finish.
We saw great effort all over the field, players stepping outside their comfort zones, and continued growth in our teamwork and confidence. While losing is never the outcome we want, it is part of sports, and we will use this game as a learning moment as we continue to grow together as a team. We know the girls are ready to put in the work at practice this week and come back even stronger next game. Proud of their resilience, determination, and sportsmanship all game long!
Goalies: 1st half Delaney tried goalie for the first time ever and made some awesome saves! 2nd half was Sofia. We are so proud of you both!
Players of the Game: Sadey, Josie, and Karlee
Sadey has been working hard all season long and continues to show so much determination every time she steps on the field. She always wants to be where the ball is and gives great effort hustling all over the field to stay involved in the play. Her energy, persistence, and enthusiasm for the game have really stood out especially today, and we are proud of the progress she is making this season!
Josie has been working incredibly hard during her very first lacrosse season and has shown such a positive attitude while learning the game. She has been willing to try almost every position on the field and never gives up, no matter the challenge. Her confidence continues to grow each game, and today her hustle, determination, and team-first attitude really stood out as she chased after every ball and stayed involved in the plays. We are so proud of her sportsmanship, effort, and eagerness to keep improving!
Karlee earned Player of the Game for the second time this season with her hard work, flexibility, and team-first attitude. She had a strong first half on offense, creating multiple scoring opportunities with several great shots on goal. In the second half, she was asked to switch over to defense and stepped into the role immediately without a single complaint. Her willingness to do whatever the team needed, combined with her effort on both ends of the field, truly earned her this recognition today!
