Kip Martens’s Clutch Hitting Propels Pearl City Varsity Wolves To Victory Over East Dubuque Warriors

Kip Martens drove in four runs on three hits to lead Pearl City Varsity Wolves past East Dubuque Warriors 17-1 on Thursday. Martens hit a home run to left field in the first inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the third inning, scoring two.
Pearl City Varsity Wolves got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Martens homered to left field, scoring two runs, Teigan Dyson drew a walk, scoring one run, Braylon Liebenstein singled, scoring one run, Parker Allen drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brandon Hille drew a walk, scoring one run.
Pearl City Varsity Wolves scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Brody Voegeli homered to left field, scoring three runs, Allen homered to left field, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.
Pearl City Varsity Wolves added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Hille drew a walk, scoring one run, Martens doubled, scoring two runs, and Brycen Voegeli singled, scoring one run.
