Stratford Big Over Bunnell
Stratford traveled north today facing crosstown rival Bunnell today winning in a convincing fashion 15-0. Starting pitcher Junior Jack Wiltsie was outstanding going the full 5 innings (run-shortened game), throwing on 67 pitches, & completing a shutout performance. Stratford’s bats also came alive today as the team registered plenty of hits & an array of extra base hits - Jack Wiltsie triple & single, Julian Rivera double & single, Max Owen double & single, Josh Tiberio double. Others contributing - Cody Gallant single, Eli Jimenez single, Evan Wendland single, Jaykell Hernandez single, & Patrick Lesczczynski sac fly. The team defense was superb, team energy led the way, & the team running the bases was very determined & resulted in the multiple of runs. Stratford now with its first SWC league win under its belt returns to play again against league opponent Brookfield Friday at 4:15 at Penders Field.
