Whittier, CA — South Pasadena Freshman Tigers had trouble keeping up with La Serna in an 8-2 loss on Tuesday.
South Pasadena Freshman Tigers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two sacrifice flies. South Pasadena Freshman Tigers first got on the board when Jonah Bangar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
La Serna jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Mason Soto homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Noah Olmos singled, scoring one run.
Max Raphael opened the game for South Pasadena Freshman Tigers. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four. Dominic Jackson opened the game for La Serna. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking three.
Brandon Hom and Cooper Slattery each collected one hit for South Pasadena Freshman Tigers. Aiden Chang and Bangar each drove in one run for South Pasadena Freshman Tigers. Hom stole two bases.
