Nazareth, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers took down Nazareth Area 5-2 on Saturday. Nazareth Area got on the board in the bottom of the first inning plating two. Easton tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a single by Mason Keller, and an error. Another single by Keller gave the Rovers the lead, 3-2, in the top of the sixth.
Max Suffness earned the win for the JV Rovers. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none. Josh Walkiewicz began the game for Easton. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Zach Martenis collected the save.
Keller led Easton Area Junior Varsity JV Rovers with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day.
Easton Area Junior Varsity will travel to Bethlehem Catholic for their next game on Tuesday. First pitch 4pm.
