Wichita, KS — Goddard Varsity Lions scored seven runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Haysville Campus 11-0 on Friday. Topham singled, scoring one run, Dreiling singled, scoring two runs, Cape singled, scoring one run, Dunlavy doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
A ground out by Jensen put Goddard Varsity Lions on the board in the top of the third.
Walter earned the win for Goddard Varsity Lions. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Glamunn took the loss for Haysville Campus. The starting pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking four.
Jensen drove the middle of the lineup, leading Goddard Varsity Lions with two runs batted in. Number eight hitter, Dreiling, showed the depth of Goddard Varsity Lions's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats.
