Auburn, MI — Pinconning Varsity Spartans Fall After Strong Showing By Bay City Western Varsity Warriors By GameChanger Media Pinconning Varsity Spartans couldn't keep up with Bay City Western Varsity Warriors and fell 13-0 on Thursday at John Glenn High School. Bay City Western Varsity Warriors jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Cal Plarske singled, scoring two runs, and Jaxon Jenkins drew a walk, scoring one run. Bay City Western Varsity Warriors extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI ground outs by Owen Dominowski and Plarske. Bay City Western Varsity Warriors scored six runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. An error scored two runs, Dominowski grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Brady Vrable tripled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Alex Shelagowski began the game for Pinconning Varsity Spartans. The starter allowed two hits and six runs (four earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking five. Vrable began the game for Bay City Western Varsity Warriors. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking none.
