Manistique, MI — Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs Defeat Manistique Varsity Emeralds On Multiple Hit Performance By Kyle Postma By GameChanger Media Kyle Postma collected three hits in four at bats, as Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs defeated Manistique Varsity Emeralds 14-3 on Friday. Postma doubled in the second inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the fourth inning. Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, and Trenton Baker singled, scoring two runs. Manistique Varsity Emeralds tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Cole Watchorn, a walk by Brayden Lancour, and a walk by Jayce Goudreau. Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Postma that drove in two. Kane Savoie earned the win for Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Russell Jensen took the loss for Manistique Varsity Emeralds. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering 10 runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking one. Dalton Savoie stepped on the bump first for Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out three and walking three. Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs piled up 11 hits in the game. Savoie collected two hits for Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs in two at bats. Postma, Jaxon Clark, Savoie, Savoie, and Baker each stole multiple bases for Rudyard Varsity Bulldogs.
