Cooperstown, NY — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers lost to West Chester East JV Vikings 6-1 on Friday at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, NY. Easton was the first to get on the board in the second when Braeden Lobb doubled, scoring one run. But the West Chester East JV Vikings jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back. Jaxton Gares led things off on the bump for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The starter surrendered six hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking two. The sophomore pitcher also went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers in hits. Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers will travel to Liberty for their next game on Tuesday.
