Grand Blanc, MI — Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats Storm Back To Defeat Unionville-Sebewaing Varsity Patriots By GameChanger Media Despite trailing by as many as five runs, Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats rallied to best Unionville-Sebewaing Varsity Patriots 8-7 on Tuesday. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats were the first to get on the board in the first when Ella Stevenson grounded out, scoring one run. Unionville-Sebewaing Varsity Patriots made the score 3-1 in the top of the second after Hailey Lutz singled, scoring one run, and Macy Prime doubled, scoring two runs. Unionville-Sebewaing Varsity Patriots added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when A Sweetman singled, scoring one run, and Lutz doubled, scoring two runs. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to center field by Alaina Trotter. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats took the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Jordan Martin, and Mackenzie Jacobson. Martin earned the win for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. The reliever gave up three hits and one run over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. Madalyn Tenbusch took the loss for Unionville-Sebewaing Varsity Patriots. The starter went five innings, allowing eight runs (five earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking four. Aleiya DiLorenzo stepped in the circle first for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Jacobson and Kayla Blumenschein were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. Martin, Jacobson, Trotter, and Blumenschein each collected two hits for Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats. Grand Blanc Varsity Bobcats stole four bases in the game.
