Tustin, CA — Tustin High School rallied in the second half to defeat Long Beach Poly, 16–13, in a hard-fought Friday night matchup. After a scoreless opening quarter, Long Beach Poly struck first in the second quarter, taking a 6–0 lead into halftime. Tustin responded coming out of the break, putting together a strong third quarter and scoring 9 points to take a 9–6 advantage heading into the final quarter. Both teams found the end zone in the fourth. Long Beach Poly reclaimed the lead with a touchdown to make it 13–9, but Tustin answered with a late touchdown of its own, securing the 16–13 comeback victory. Tustin's second-half surge proved to be the difference as the Tillers closed out a thrilling three-point win over Long Beach Poly.
