La Verne, CA — The Bearcats opened the season with a hard-fought battle against the Lancers. After losing the first set 13-25. The second set proved far more competitive. The Bearcats battled point-for-point, keeping the pressure on and refusing to let the Lancers pull away. Despite the strong effort, the Lancers managed to make the key plays late, taking the second set 25–21 and securing the season-opening victory. While the result wasn’t what the Bearcats were hoping for, the team showed plenty of fight and competitiveness in the opening match.
