La Habra, CA — 🚨🏈FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! - Your Sonora Raiders varsity football team hosted LB Cabrillo to kickoff the 2026 football season, securing a 48-28 victory. Sonora’s offense was led by standout performances from SR running back Gabe Burgos, JR running back Jeremiah Dempsey-Frost, JR WR Cash Spurgeon and JR QB Levi Santos. Defensively, the Raiders were stout behind key efforts from SO DE Cole Valencia and SR DE Michael Kennedy. The Raiders amassed 464 yards of total offense, including 178 rushing yards and a TD by Burgos, 100 rushing yards and a TD from Dempsey-Frost, 3 TD from Spurgeon, and 120 passing yards and 3 passing TD’s from Santos. Sonora looks to keep the early season momentum going on the road this Friday as they visit Rosemead High School (1-0) for another Friday night 7PM kickoff. We hope to see you there!
