Walnut, CA — WALNUT, Calif. — Sonora continued its excellent start to the 2026 football season Friday night, putting together another dominant performance on the road with a 42–7 victory over Walnut. The Raiders entered the matchup at 2–0 and wasted little time establishing control. Sonora's combination of a physical rushing attack, efficient passing game and aggressive defense allowed the Raiders to build a comfortable advantage and pull away as the night progressed. Quarterback Levi Santos once again played a key role in the Sonora offense. Santos accounted for two touchdowns, rushing for 45 yards and a touchdown while completing passes for 72 yards and another score. James Kalpakoff provided another major contribution on the ground, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown as the Raiders continued to find success running the football. Sonora's defense also turned in another strong performance, holding Walnut to just seven points and helping the Raiders maintain control throughout the game. The victory marked Sonora's third consecutive win to open the season. The Raiders have now scored 135 points through their first three games, while allowing just 38 points. For the Raiders, the early-season formula has remained consistent: play physical, execute, compete for four quarters and rely on the entire team to get the job done. With the win, Sonora improves to 3–0 and remains unbeaten heading into next week's HOMECOMING matchup with Saddleback. The Friday night matchup against the visiting Roadrunners (0-3) will kickoff at 7PM at La Habra District Stadium. Sonora 42, Walnut 7
