Recap
Dana Point, CA — Thursday was a long day for the Laguna Beach Frosh Soph football team.
Laguna fell behind immediately and trailed 28-0 at the end of the first quarter.
The Breakers showed some life in the second quarter with nice runs by London Blincoe and nice receptions by Christian Offield and Silas Murray. Murray caught a 17 yard touchdown pass from Logan Danus to get the Breakers on the board. Max Alshuler then intercepted the pass giving the Breakers the ball back. Quarterback Danus then found Hendricks McMann for a 20 yard touchdown pass and run.
This made the halftime score Dana Hills 28 Laguna 13.
On Laguna‘s first possession in the second half, Silas Murray caught a ball on the left side of the field and ran the ball down to the 8 yard line. 3 plays later Logan got the ball to McMann for a 5 yard touchdown pass cutting the score to 28-19.
However, the rest of the game Laguna was unable to mount much of an offense, and the defense seemed gassed and gave up too many long plays. Couple that with 2 pick six touchdowns for Dana Hills and you have a final score of Dana Hills 60 Laguna Beach 19.
