Orange, CA — The LBHS Frosh Soph team took their one game win streak on the road this Thursday to play the Orange Panthers at their home field. The Breakers took the opening kickoff back to the 37 yard line and started a drive that culminated with Braden Hansen finding Weston Lewis open for a 20 yard touchdown pass. Declan Goode added the extra point. On the ensuing drive on third and long Orange completed a pass and run for a 60yard touchdown play. The Breakers were forced to punt on their first possession in the second quarter, but then held the Panthers forcing them to punt back to Laguna. Weston Lewis took the punt at his own 30 and raced 70 yards for his second score of the game. Again, Declan Goode made the extra point. After holding the Panthers offense again, Laguna got the ball late in the second quarter and drove down field to the Panther five where London Blincoe ran it in from 5 yards out scored at halftime 21-6 in favor Laguna. Orange received the opening kickoff and slowly moved the ball up field to the Laguna 45 where their drive stalled. Declan Goode broke through the line and blocked the Panthers punt giving Laguna good field position. On the second play from scrimmage Braden Hansen found Hendricks McMann over the middle for a 60 yard pass and run. Orange had another long time sustaining drive, and with the aid of a couple of penalties against Laguna, were able to score but again were unable to convert on the extra point. Orange was then successful on an onside kick, giving them the ball around midfield. The Panthers drove the ball to the Laguna 20, and on a fourth down play threw the ball into the end zone where it was intercepted by Weston Lewis who then ran it out to the Laguna 25 yard line. On the second play from scrimmage, London Blincoe broke through the line and ran 75 yards for his second touchdown of the game. Again on this Thursday, the offensive and defensive lines did extremely well. Harry Onel, Keegan Hackett, Christian Hamelberg played both sides of the line. Final score Laguna Beach 34, Orange 12
