Wayne, NJ — Wayne Valley bounced back from its season-opening loss with an impressive 41-7 victory over longtime rival Passaic Valley. Senior Isaiah Lovell led the way with 192 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including runs of 55 and 70 yards, while Jadon Cabrales added two touchdowns and Luca Lapp and Nico Squeglia each scored on the ground. The Indians also delivered a strong defensive performance, recording an interception and multiple fumble recoveries. The win marked Wayne Valley’s fifth straight victory over Passaic Valley and the 16th win in the last 18 meetings. The Indians now turn their attention to Old Tappan, which defeated Ramapo in its opener.
